Veteran Victory Farm
Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire
This Program is currently closed awaiting new funding
The 80-acre Veteran Victory Farm houses a therapeutic recovery program located in Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire. Victory Farm provides veterans with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to address the issues associated with their mental health and substance abuse diagnosis in a nurturing and supportive environment.
While living at the Farm, veterans will receive an agricultural education from the staff and their fellow veterans that will assist them in the day-to-day activities as well as enhance their recovery process. The veteran’s responsibilities include gardening, animal care and land maintenance. Veterans at the Farm are expected to take part in day-to-day household activities as well as cooking, cleaning, meal planning and grocery shopping.
This is a structured, but self-paced program that is designed to assist veterans as they develop a strong foundation in recovery. Farm chores and animal care are requirements of this program and will be a priority, but residents may include part-time or full-time employment/school after a probationary period and with the approval of Case Management.
In order to maintain a positive recovery environment, we include the following:
• On- site security cameras with 24-hour remote access
• Court advocacy
• In-house 12-step recovery based programming
• Off-site transportation
• Staff supervised community based activities and self-help meetings
• Referrals to VA and non-VA healthcare services and benefits counseling
